Who Lives In Our Garden

I use the word ‘who’ as reference to those living in our garden other than plants. Over the years, as I’ve become more aware of the dynamic life going on within our tiny plot of earth, I decided to try and capture some part of it on film. Most of these are chance encounters but some have become regular events in the yearly cycle. I know the catbirds will return in the Spring, the White-throated sparrows and Winter Wrens in the Fall. I’m always on the lookout for my favorite insect, the Preying Mantis, the seasonal guardian – am mesmerized by her slow motion assuredness, the turn of her head when you come in close to observe her.

I’ll be adding creatures along the way. I’d love to hear from you. Enjoy.
